By Hogne B. Pettersen | 2/3/16 5:19 PM | - | Added by Oliver Busse

Woke up half past five in the morning. My internal clock is still not up to snuff. The humidity outside was unbelievable and there was so much fog that I opted for a 4 x 4 interval run on the thread mill instead of running around the lake.

IBM Verse: Next Impressions

By Red Pill Now | 2/3/16 4:45 PM | - | Added by Oliver Busse

While IBM didn’t say it, I couldn’t help but think that IBM Verse is in the process of being totally integrated into Connections, to the point in which I am not sure if it would make any sense to try and identify (or use) it as a separate product. It would be hard to have Connections without Verse,

By Reynout van Adrichem Boogaert | 2/2/16 7:02 PM | - | Added by Oliver Busse

But the question is off course where does it come from.

On my connections test server i installed everything in one machine. The home directory for db2inst1 user ends the file space. The databases and all containers are under the default of /home/db2inst1. So we can use db2relocatedb to move them.

IBM Verse: Final Impressions

By Red Pill Now | 2/1/16 11:44 AM | - | Added by Oliver Busse

Back in May of last year I shared my first impressions in using IBM’s new e-mail client Verse. After using Verse for seven months the trial in which I had been participating came to an end. It was an interesting time as my experience with Verse caused me to look very closely at the various email clients I have been using and challenge what really matters to me in my choice of an email client.

Seriously, Though: Reverse Proxies

By Jesse Gallagher | 9/16/15 3:31 PM | - | Added by Oliver Busse

So, Domino administrators: what are your feelings about SSL lately? Do they include, perhaps, stress? It's "oh crap, my servers are broken" season again, and this time the culprit is a change in Apple's operating systems. Fortunately, in this case, the problem isn't as severe as an outright security vulnerability like POODLE and, better still, there is a definitive statement from IBM indicating that they are going to bring their security stack up to snuff almost in time.

Another new feature with IBM Connections 5.0 CR3

By Christoph Stoettner | 8/18/15 2:40 PM | - | Added by Oliver Busse

Within the fixlist of the new released CR3 of IBM Connections 5 there are several new configuration options mentioned. One of the interesting ones for me is the mobile update parameter AllowRemoveAccount. The default value is “false” and your Connections environment still works before, but what’s changed when you set this to true?
